Nearby Mabie forest, managed by Forest Enterprise, already has a wide range of activities to cater for a variety of interests including routes to suit all abilities, from wheelchair accessible paths to longer trails. Other facilities include a family adventure play area, picnic sites and barbecue facilities, mountain bike routes, as well as a horse trail and a forest nature reserve. When considering the options for the Reserve, please think about the importance of the habitat at Kirkconnell Flow and the alternative facilities available in the local area. It is unlikely that we could justify developing the paths throughout the Reserve to suit a broad range of users because of what already exists.
